 Step-by-Step Guide to Using a Digital ATA Carnet

1. Apply
   Submit your application to Carnet Wizard or via your issuing chamber.
    
2. Download the Official Carnet App
   Once approved, you’ll receive a secure PIN to access your digital carnet on the app.
    
3. Plan Your Journey
   Set up your travel route, select items, and generate QR codes for export, import, and return.
    
4. Cross Borders Seamlessly
   Customs scan your QR code at each border, and the app confirms each transaction instantly.

Currently, Testing of digital carnets is underway, and they need to be processed alongside paper carnets.

2026/27 - Transition: Digital carnets will be implemented in countries that are digitally enabled.

2028 and beyond: All countries are expected to adopt digital carnets, and the use of paper carnets will be discontinued.
