What is an ATA Carnet and how does it work?
An ATA Carnet is a customs document used for temporarily exporting goods to other countries (think film sets, trade shows or exhibitions) without having to pay import duties and taxes. It’s an international customs document (think of it as a passport for goods) that lets you move your products temporarily into over 80 countries around the world, including the US, Japan, Switzerland, France, Italy, Germany and beyond.

The ATA Carnet is accepted by customs authorities all over the world as a form of guarantee against the payment of duties or taxes.
